Notice from the Staff - Regarding Actions Against Offenders -

The operations team would like to report on the actions taken in June 2026.
As stated in the terms of service, Dragon Quest X Online prohibits RMT (Real Money Trading) and fraudulent activities such as scams, and we impose strict penalties on players who engage in such behavior.
※ RMT (Real Money Trading) refers to the buying and selling of game data for real-world money or goods.

  • ※ Even if confiscated items have been enhanced, they will still be confiscated. Alchemy stones and materials used for enhancement will not be returned.

Fraud-Related Activities

Number of Accounts Penalized for AFK Play (Auto-hunting/BOTs) and Other Fraudulent Activities

The following actions were taken against accounts that used external devices or unauthorized programs to keep characters active automatically without direct player operation, or engaged in other fraudulent activities:

[Penalized Accounts] 0 accounts

[Actions Taken] Temporary suspension from Dragon Quest X Online

※ These figures cover the period from late May 2026 to late June 2026.

Results of Actions Against "Scams"

Number of Accounts Penalized for Scams

The number of accounts penalized for committing scams in-game and the number of victimized accounts that received relief are as follows:
※ Scam: The act of stealing items or gold from other players by breaking promises or deceiving them.

Penalized AccountsRelieved Accounts
Scam-related
Accounts
63
  • ※ There is a discrepancy between the number of penalized accounts and relieved accounts because some cases involve opportunity loss where items or gold were not actually lost, or cases where a single fraudulent account targeted multiple victims.

※ We have confirmed scams where individuals impersonate a friend's or team member's sub-character to illicitly receive gold in-game. If you are approached, do not hand over gold immediately; please confirm the identity directly with your friend or team member before proceeding with any trade.

※ We have confirmed the existence of Sanguini Bazaars on external sites designed to trick other players into making mistakes for profit. We take action to shut down such Sanguini Bazaars as soon as they are identified, but please refrain from trusting external sites and purchasing from such Sanguini Bazaars.

Even for a first-time offense, scams generally result in a permanent suspension.

We will continue to take action against other prohibited activities as well.

Regarding Actions on the "Awakening Adventurer's Square"

We also take action regarding various posts on the Awakening Adventurer's Square by referencing the "Dragon Quest X Terms of Service" and the "Dragon Quest X Adventurer's Square Guidelines."

Penalties on the "Awakening Adventurer's Square"

When violations are confirmed, we implement measures such as cautions, warnings, and suspension from using the Awakening Adventurer's Square.

Suspension from the "Awakening Adventurer's Square"

Accounts suspended from the Awakening Adventurer's Square will be unable to log in to the site from that point forward. Consequently, they will be unable to use various features of the Awakening Adventurer's Square, the DQX Shop, and certain features of the Adventurer's Handy Tool.

  • ※ Some features of the Awakening Adventurer's Square, such as the "Footprint Message Board" and "Adventurer's Log," can also be accessed via the Adventurer's Handy Tool. Therefore, if a violation is confirmed through posts made using these features in the Adventurer's Handy Tool, it may be treated as a violation on the Awakening Adventurer's Square.

Number of Actions Taken on the "Awakening Adventurer's Square" in June

The number of actions taken against individuals who violated the "Dragon Quest X Terms of Service" or the "Dragon Quest X Adventurer's Square Guidelines" is as follows:

Since some individuals repeatedly engage in problematic behavior, the number of unique accounts penalized is lower than the figures above. The number of actions regarding the Adventurer's Log includes cases involving player event announcements and open house announcements.

Many of the cases we address involve harassment of other players through extreme language or inappropriate posts.

For those who repeatedly engage in problematic behavior on the Awakening Adventurer's Square and show no improvement despite cautions and warnings, we suspend their access to the Awakening Adventurer's Square.

As with in-game penalties, depending on the situation, this may also lead to a permanent suspension of the account, including the ability to play the game itself. When using the Awakening Adventurer's Square, please review the various terms and guidelines and use the service with moderation.

Regarding Sanguini Bazaar Troubles Involving External Sites

If we discover a Sanguini Bazaar that uses external sites to trick other players into making mistakes for profit, we will, at our own discretion, implement a temporary or permanent ban on the Sanguini Bazaar for the account in question.

For details on our response methods, please refer to the notice below.

Policy on Sanguini Bazaar Troubles Involving External Sites
  • ※ This measure is strictly to "prevent the spread of damage at the staff's discretion," and we cannot provide relief if you have purchased items by mistake. Please continue to refrain from purchasing from Sanguini Bazaars by trusting external sites, and we recommend using the "Community Tavern" on the Awakening Adventurer's Square or the "Sanguini Mall" on the Adventurer's Handy Tool.
  • ※ If there is false information in places under our jurisdiction, such as in-game, on the Awakening Adventurer's Square, or in the Sanguini Mall, we will continue to handle it as a "scam."

A warning is displayed when attempting to purchase items that meet certain criteria.

When purchasing items at a Sanguini Bazaar, a warning will be displayed if the item is priced significantly higher than its listing price on the Traveler's Bazaar. Please use this as a reference and carefully check the quantity and price of the listed items before making a purchase.

Notes on Auto-Matching Content

In content where players compete for points using auto-matching, such as the Colosseum, Battle Trinity, and Batrachen, "intentionally manipulating matching or match outcomes" is prohibited and will result in penalties.

Additionally, if the operations team determines that a player is disrupting others by intentionally disconnecting or leaving their character idle to exploit game mechanics, this will also be treated as harassment and subject to penalties.

Rules and Manners: "Prohibited Activities"

Please Cooperate with "Reporting"

If you discover a character suspected of being involved in RMT in-game, please use the "Report" function. Your reports are a powerful tool in removing offenders, so please cooperate by reporting any character you suspect of wrongdoing.

How to use "Report"

You can use the "Report" function for the following cases:

Characters suspected of being "RMT operators"
Characters suspected of "AFK play (auto-hunting/BOTs)"
Characters using "high-speed movement" or "warping"

・Characters with meaningless names (e.g., repeating characters) acting like bots
・Multiple characters with identical equipment hunting the same monsters continuously
・Characters repeating specific behaviors to hunt monsters
・Characters moving at unnatural speeds or suddenly appearing in front of monsters, etc.

For reports regarding harassment that does not fall into the above categories, please use "Command" → "Trouble?" → "Report Bugs/Violations" → "Report Problematic/Violent Behavior." For RMT activities that cannot be reported via the in-game reporting function, please report them via the "Report Fraudulent Activity" section of the Support Center.

Beware of "Unauthorized Access"

Our investigations have confirmed that gold and items stolen from victims are passed through multiple characters before reaching characters used by RMT sites or auction sellers. Much of the gold and items received by those who use RMT services have been stolen through unauthorized access.

As a preventive measure against unauthorized access that you can take yourself, we recommend implementing a "One-Time Password" using a "Security Token" or "Software Token."

What is a One-Time Password?

Please note that the smartphone app "Square Enix Software Token" is scheduled to end service in 2024 or later.
Moving forward, please consider using a "Security Token" or the "Authentication Apps" listed below.

One-Time Password Authentication Apps

We have also confirmed fraudulent activities known as "phishing," where emails or other means are used to lure players to pages disguised as official Square Enix sites (such as Dragon Quest X Online) to trick them into entering their Square Enix account and password, thereby stealing member information.
We have compiled details regarding phishing scams on the following page; if you have not yet read it, please do so.
